Volunteer at the Epic
The Unnamed Epic will need the help of many volunteers for a variety of duties and time frames. We intend to make the volunteer experience as fun and exciting as the race - just eliminating the pain part. In addition the reward of involvement in the pioneering event, volunteers will be compensated with wearable items and a free post-event party with food, beverages, awards, and random prize drawing on a date and location yet to be determined.
Areas we will need volunteer help for include:
- Registration/information
- Baggage pick up and transfer from Mineral Point to Ridgeway & Blue Mound State Park
- Baggage security & rider assistance at Ridgeway and Blue Mound State Park
- Start/finish area set up/tear down at Mineral Point & Blue Mound State Park
- Rider/traffic control at road and trail crossings at numerous locations on course
- On-course food stations at Governor Dodge State Park, Ridgeway, Barneveld, Blue Mound State Park & Brigham County Park
- Road and trail sweep and clean up
- Parking control at Mineral Point, Ridgeway, Blue Mound State Park & Blue Mounds
- Bus coordination at Ridgeway and Blue Mound State Park
- Event photography at Mineral Point, on course & Blue Mound State Park
- Food & beverage service at Blue Mound State Park finish area
- Award distribution at Blue Mound State Park
- Bike security at Ridgeway and Blue Mound State Park
